Party Time! Excellent!

Well today is Halloween and the inaugural post for this crude collection of thoughts and writings I call my life! Well I suppose an introduction is in order...

My name is David Savage, I am a 21 year old college senior about to begin the long and tedious process of law school :( Since I transferred to Riverside to finish my undergrad last year, life has been nothing short of hectic. I am taking a full load, an officer in my Fraternity, working (where I am now!) and trying to manage all of my documents for the law school app process. Needless to say I rarely have any time where I can be justifiably idle. What makes me so different than your typical blogger? Nada, I'm just your average run of the mill schmuck with aspirations that are probably well out of my actual reach and ability. But if my goals were within my reach, I guess I wouldn't be trying hard enough now would I?

Anyways, onto the juice....

I am basically just chilling at work right now on this amazing and fun filled day! Nearly everyone here in the office is dressed up as something. My fellow interns are anything from weird fairies to 80s workout nuts. Our VP, is dressed as a Renaissance noblewoman and has by far, the best costume today. As the picture above shows, I am Wayne Campbell from Wayne's World. Party on! Today is kinda slow, but you get that from time to time in any work setting. Normally this job is rarely without something to do! Since I am an intern at a PR firm, my job is basically to assist the staff in any way I can while gaining valuable work experience. Or whatever it is they tell you upon hiring. Basically what it amounts to is that whenever a senior staff-member has a project that is destroying them, I get to pick up whatever they need help with.

So far I have written a few press releases and done a lot of research for upcoming projects. In fact, my most research assignment prompted me to create this little gem. I have been learning how corporate blogging works, its advantage and disadvantages, and how best to utilize it in an office environment. I got so into this one that I decided to make my own blog. Over the next few months(years?) I hope to use this thing as kind of a journal. I really dont care who reads it, if anyone does at all. It is just fun to write!

Well that's basically it in a nutshell. Hopefully I can go to a good party or two tonight and get some good photos for later! Until now, you are stuck with the one of me in my cube rockin' out! Enjoy!
